Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit this website or send a request, for what purpose and on what legal basis. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Italian data protection code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) apply.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Patrick Kuppelwieser
Wegwerk
Vinschgauerstraße 37
39023 Eyrs (BZ)
Email: info@wegwerk.it
Phone: +39 392 945 9507
2. Hosting and server log data
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Vercel processes the data on our behalf as a processor.
When you open a page, Vercel automatically processes technical data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the previously visited page and information about your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts, images and videos on this website are also delivered via Vercel. No fonts or videos are loaded from third parties such as Google Fonts or YouTube.
3. Request forms for physiotherapy and hikes
If you use one of the request forms, we process the details you enter: name, phone number, email address, optionally a preferred date and your message. Hike requests also include the type of hike, the number of people and whether you would like advice. We also store the language and the page from which you sent the request.
The purpose is to answer your request and arrange an appointment or a hike. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Only the details we need to reach you are mandatory. Without them we cannot handle the request.
Every request is stored in a Google Sheets table so that we can handle requests and keep track of them. The provider is Google Ireland Limited. In addition, we send the request via the email service Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France) to Wegwerk and to the web agency Elbert Marketing, which looks after the website. Some of the recipients use Google (Gmail) mailboxes. With the request we also transmit how you reached the website, for example via Google search, Instagram or an advertising link, and from which page you sent the request. This shows us how people find us. This information is not stored in your browser. The website has no database of its own.
Please do not send detailed health data such as diagnoses or medical reports through the form. A short note about your concern is enough for a first contact. If you voluntarily share information about your health, we use it only to answer your request and prepare a treatment (Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR).
Form data are not used for advertising and are not passed on to Meta or other advertising services.
4. Contact by email, phone and WhatsApp
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The WhatsApp buttons are simple links. Only when you click them does WhatsApp open, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to its use. Please do not send detailed health data via WhatsApp either.
5. Google Maps
In the contact section you can display a map from Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”. Until then no connection to Google is made.
After the click, Google receives your IP address among other data and may set cookies. The legal basis is the consent you give with this click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The links “Open in Google Maps” and “Route” lead directly to Google Maps and only transfer data when you open them.
6. Links to social networks and other websites
Instagram, Facebook, the profile with the Landesberufskammer der Berg- und Skiführer Südtirol and the web agency's website are included as simple links. No content from these services is embedded. Data are only transferred if you click a link and open the page.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set any cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. No analytics or marketing services are used. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Google cookies can only be set if you load the Google Maps map yourself.
8. Transfers outside the EU
Vercel and Google are based in the USA or have their parent company there. Personal data may therefore be transferred to the USA. According to their own statements, the providers base such transfers on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on EU standard contractual clauses.
The processing of the forms on the website itself takes place in a Vercel data centre in Frankfurt am Main.
9. Storage period
Server log data are kept by Vercel only for a limited time and then deleted automatically.
We delete requests received by form, email or WhatsApp once they have been dealt with, if no treatment or hike follows. If a treatment or booking follows, we keep the data for as long as legal retention obligations require, for example under tax law or for treatment records. The same applies to the entries in the Google table.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, and to data portability where applicable (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR).
Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you can object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
To exercise your rights, simply email: info@wegwerk.it

Some images used on this website were created or edited with the help of artificial intelligence. No personal data of website visitors are used to generate the images.
